How Can I Use Science For The Future Development Of Our Nation?

‘Science’ – It is said to be the study of the natural world. In simple words, it is just the study of our surroundings. Man has progressed in science since the ancient times. Discovery of fire, how to use metals, weaving clothes…..etc., all have been a part of this progress. Man has just not progressed, he is progressing still now. Each moment we spend on reading this article, some scientists in some corner of the world may have gone a step further in their discoveries. Recently, in our society we can find a shift in the views of people regarding science and its study. In this modern world, people are now concerned about how much one has studied rather than knowing how much bank balance we have. Countries are being ranked on the basis of their development and defense strength. Though we still can find the ‘poor-rich countries’ ranking, the former ranking is becoming more prominent. Like our technology, science does have its own merits and demerits. But it all depends upon how one uses it. This progress in science can be used meticulously for the development of our country. India does not suffer a lack of resources or labour….what she needs is the proper planning and implementation of ideas.
Science if used widely in India can help her make it into the list of developed nations. The main obstacle in front of her currently is corruption. If it is uprooted from its very depths, no one can stop her from being a developed nation.  India recently proved herself in the field of space science or space technology with the success of Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM). She has achieved something that only three other countries out of the total one hundred and ninety six countries have achieved and that too being the first country to reach the heights of this success at her first maiden attempt itself. Now, India has proved that she can launch missiles and make them hit a specific target. This also proves the power of India’s defense, making it one of the strongest in the world. Success of MOM is just the first step. If this continues, India’s ISRO might one day, beat America’s NASA to become the best space center in the whole world. MOM’s success with it brings opportunities for other nations to come and launch their satellites from India. The benefit is for both the countries. The nation can launch their satellites at a cheaper rate while India gets thousands of opportunities for her young scientists.                      With the help of science, India can improve the yield of her fields. Food scarcity will reduce, death of the children due to hunger will see a reduction, farmers and labourers would get money and poverty will reduce at a rapid rate and children will get better education. If such a small step can cause such a huge development, imagine how much difference science can do if applied in each and every field. That is what India needs.  Technology if developed can help the country in meeting the ever increasing demands of fuel. Alternative sources can be discovered and existing ones can be improved. It would bring electricity to villages. It would light up the lives of thousands of Indian children who are still living in the darkness. Children who are not able to study after dusk due to lack of electricity will be able to study and achieve their aims. Industries can be made more efficient and less polluting. Less pollution means less diseases and a healthy living. It will increase the life expectancy of Indians.  Efficient production would mean good quality products. Consumers will get good products at affordable rates. India recently launched her GPS satellite, IRNSS 1. It has improved ways of communication. Satellites have helped India to predict natural disasters thus saving millions of lives.
So science has a huge impact in our everyday lives. From the safety pins we use to the satellites revolving thousands of kilometres above us, we use science. India has to improve her scientific base and as a result improve the standard of living for the citizens. India can improve enough to send people to other planets. Well, after all, as I modify and quote Abraham Lincoln’s statement: “India is for the people, by the people and with her people.”

Twist Of Love

Looking deep into his eyes

I felt a passion urging in me

Deep into his eyes

I found the vast ocean

Its mighty waves crashing the shore

The blue, calm water sparkling

With a sparkle rarely seen

Except in his eyes

The feeling of getting lost

Grew deep in me like a tree

Ever so growing

Its roots sensing each grain

I felt a longing

Never had I felt for someone

Never will I for anyone

But him to tell the three magical words

Words that would forever

Change the way of my life

And his too.

Words that would build

A monument of memories

Only sweet and sweeter

Words that would

Change my future for the better

Words that would forever

Bind us with cement so strong

That even the Gods become helpless

I wanted to feel him, to touch him

To tell him all the things I wanted to say

To look into his eyes and be lost

For all my dreams and hopes

I kept my eyes on his diamonds

Said those words that ruled my heart

“Bro! You rock!!”

First One

This is your life. Do what you love, and ensure that you do it often. If you don’t like something, change it. If you don’t find enough time, pause. Analyse your daily schedule and check where you are wasting your all-important 86400s of your day. If you are looking for the love of your life, stop again and start doing things you love. You will find your love waiting for you then and there. Stop thinking too much, life is simple. So take it that way and try not to make it complicated. Always love whatever you do even if you don’t like it. When you eat, appreciate each and every bite like it is going to be your last bite. Open your mind, arms and heart to new things and people. We are all humans and therefore are unique from one another. Your thoughts and actions might contradict with someone else’s. Respect other’s thoughts and actions. Listen to him and don’t just jump to silly, idiotic conclusions. Greet the next person you see with a sweet smile and a sweeter greeting. You yourself will feel the difference. Always be optimistic about everything around you. Let people feel the positive energy radiating from you each and every moment of your life.  Whenever you feel lonely, pack your bags and go on a vacation to a new place, you will discover yourself because getting lost helps you in revealing the true potential inside you. Opportunities never come twice. Grab them the moment they start approaching you. Life is about the people you meet, and things you do. So go out and start creating. Life is short. So leave your past, it is already gone and don’t give a damn care about your future, it is yet to come. So live your dream in your present and share your passion.
Now let me be a bit more informal. It had been a dream of mine to start my own blog some day and I have trying to fulfill it the past two years. The thorn in the pathway to the achievement of my dream was just the absence of an auspicious and beautiful day on my calendar. I just wanted a memorable day to start off my blog journey. Finally, my patience did bring fruits. What better day can it be than the day one becomes a proper citizen of one’s own country? The day you turn from a minor to an adult. Such a day is always the stepping stone to one’s life. Let me keep it straight. This is a blog and not any kind of Wikipedia or Google website where you find a lot of information. I won’t be posting any kind of educational stuff for at least six months ( Well, I indeed have no idea of what I will feel like posting the coming year. :P). This blog is bound to contain article from the various mood of my life – happiness, sadness, depression blah blah blah….well you know the rest.
Let me tell you a bit about the author of this blog. The author of this blog (Yup, that’s me) is a typical teenager who loves to read and write. Some of my other hobbies include coin and stamp collection (Not a very large one though) and like most of my friends, I love listening to music, a bit of dancing here and there and of course, social networking (Who hates it, by the way?). On a serious note, I do waste a lot of my time on Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter and all (and I realize it too :P) that I find very little time for this blog. But now as I have started a blog, I need to find some time for this. And one more thing, I will try to bring up better and better pieces of my work each time I resurface here.
Last but not the least, I am not a robot. I am a human like everyone else and so I am bound to make a bit of mistakes (Ok. I admit; not a bit but pretty lot). I request all those critic friends of mine out there to give their valuable opinion whether it is positive or negative (Seriously, I don’t mind) so that I can learn from my mistakes and improve myself (I’ll be indebted to those who help me in improving) . You can criticize me either in the comments box or through my email (I prefer the latter though :P . Just joking.). Well thanks in advance for your priceless suggestions and feedbacks. Time for me to stop. I will be back soon. Hope you will have an awesome day ahead ☺.
